Can you tell me what I'm supposed to be feeling?

Why is it that other people's opinions matter so much to us.. that people's approvals are what drives us in what we do and how we act.. well this is my problem..

The things that I do may not appeal to other people or they may feel that what I do or say or the way I act is wrong, but should that matter to me?

Why do I care!!!???

I want to not care, I don't kmow where my confidence went.. I want to do what I want and not care what anyone else family, foe or anyone else thinks. I am me, I'm always going to be me! I'm going to so what I want to do, and there may be reprocussions but I'm the one that has to deal with those things.. nobody else..

So if you don't approve, keep it to yourself.. Imma do me!!

The Waiting Game

Deployments are hard for everyone involved.. understandable, right?

So why is it that when people are trying to help, it just feels like they are making it worse??

It's been a few days since I've heard from my husband and I'm really just down.. You always know that this is how it is going to be, and you won't always here from them every single day but it doesn't exaclty make it easier..

So here I will sit and try to make the best of it. I have faith in my husband that he will be ok, he is smart and he knows how to use his head. I also know that he has a very good close knit of friends over there that promised me they will look out for him. Prayers for them..

Ahhhh.. the army wife life. :p

Finally found :))

I used to have a blog labeled "Girl Lost", which back then described me perfectly. I had no idea what I was going to do with my life or where I was going, and then came my husband.. :)

He found me and gave me the life that I've always dreamed of. We have (to us) the most perfect family and life. I will forever be in his debt for turning me into the woman that I always wanted to be.

Do we have our share of problems and conflicts, of course. What married couple doesn't? But we are working through them and moving forward... So enough of an intro right?

My husband is currently deployed and my daughter and I are back home while he is away.
We are stationed at Ft Wainwright AK. Cold, yes!! Freezing!! Haha but its gorgeous.
I work in a nursing home and I am a cosmetlogist.
I also help run a facebook page for Army Wives (www.facebook.com/armywivesstandunited)
Needless to say, I stay pretty busy, but it definitely helps keep my mind off of my husband being gone.


So over the next year this will be my venting tool, a true life blog of an army wife. The drama, the good, the bad.. enjoy!!!
